The short version: the files and text you use with Picker Tools stay on your device. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which tools get used, and that's all we collect.

Who we are

pickertools.app is run by Mercy Grace Studio. Contact us about this policy at hello@mercygrace.studio.

Your files and text

Every tool does its work in your browser. Documents, images, spreadsheets and text that you open or paste are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. We don't store them, and we can't see them.

Image to Text and Image to CSV read images with a text-recognition model that your browser downloads from pickertools.app. No outside AI service is involved, and your images are not sent anywhere.

Analytics

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics records the pages you visit and general technical details such as your browser, device type, approximate location and the site that referred you. It uses cookies to tell a returning visitor from a new one.

The tools also send simple usage events, for example that a conversion finished, how long it took, or that an error happened. These events contain counts and categories only. They never include your files, your text, file names or what was in them.

Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked first: until you press Accept on the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets no cookies and records no identifiers for you. Elsewhere analytics is on by default and you can turn it off. Change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

Google processes this data under its own terms. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies for this site.

What's stored in your browser

Image to Text, Image to CSV, the SKU Generator, the Barcode Generator and the Price Tag Maker have a free daily allowance. To apply it, the page saves a counter in your browser's local storage: today's date and how many images, products, barcodes or tags you've used. It never leaves your device, and clearing this site's data removes it.

To show “Recently used”, the site also keeps the addresses of the last four tools you opened in local storage. It never leaves your device either. You can clear it from the homepage toolbox at any time.

Your cookie choice is saved the same way, in local storage, so you aren't asked on every visit. Apart from Google Analytics cookies, the site sets no cookies of its own.

Images linked in your Markdown

Markdown to Word and Markdown to PDF can embed images that your Markdown links to. To do that, your browser downloads each image directly from the address in your Markdown. The site hosting the image will see that request, as it would if you opened the image yourself. Nothing is sent to us.

Sharing and selling

We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it with anyone except Google as our analytics provider. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data is held about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. Since we hold no account or file data, most of this concerns Google Analytics data. Email us and we'll help.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts collecting anything new, we'll update this page and the date at the top before it happens.
